Warren's Barn and Roof Paints are formulated to protect vertical exterior wood surfaces from the elements. Barn and Roof Paints are ideal for brush, roller, or spray application due to their moderate dry times. They dry overnight and are recommended for application to exterior wood surfaces such as barns, fences and properly primed metal roofs. Barn and Roof Paints are available in a wide range of colors and degrees of gloss, and they provide good durability and protection of the substrate.

Surface Preparation

N/A All surfaces must be sound, dry, clean and free of oil, grease, dirt and mildew. Scrape, sand, or pressure wash surfaces. Allow to wetted surfaces to dry 24 hours before painting.

Mixing and Thinning

N/A Stir or shake well. Thin up to 10% with S 3, VM&P Naphtha; or another recommended thinner to spray. Use as supplied or thin sparingly with S 4, Deodorized Thinner to brush or roll. Do not over-thin.

Application

N/A Brush, roll, spray. Thin as directed for conventional or H.V.L.P. spray. Apply between 50 and 95°F with the relative humidity less than 80%. Do not expose to dew or rain within eight hours after painting.

Dry Time

N/A 4-6 hours to touch. Eight hours to handle. Twenty-four hours hard.

Recoat Time

N/A Before four hours and after 24 hours.
