Item # 1603, Satin Enamatex Latex Semi-gloss Enamel



Satin Enamatex is the premium latex semi-gloss enamel in the Warren line of products. It is ready to use after stirring, flows on smoothly, and dries to a rich finish that is dry to touch in less than one hour. It is washable, scrubbable, and stain resistant after 30 days, and has very low odor

Surface Preparation

Remove all dirt, grease, and loose, peeling paint. Sand previously painted surfaces. For best results, prime with the appropriate Warren primer. Use Vitric Enamel Undercoater to prime wood and surfaces previously painted with oil-based enamel. Satin Walco Primer/Sealer is excellent for new drywall and concrete. Super Block Filler is best for unpainted concrete block and rough concrete. Use a Metalcoat primer over steel or aluminum. Allow adequate dry time before finishing with Satin Enamatex. Self-priming is possible over drywall, plaster, and concrete.

Mixing and Thinning

Stir or shake well. Thin sparingly with water to spray. Do not over-thin.

Application

Brush, roll, spray. Thin as directed. Apply between 50 and 90ºF with the relative humidity less than 80%. Cover objects in the vicinity of painting to avoid paint drips or spatters.

Dry Time

One hour to touch. Two hours to handle. 24 hours hard

Recoat Time

After eight hours.

Appearance

Rich semi-gloss white film.

Coverage

404 square feet per gallon at 1.4 mils DFT (100% transfer and zero profile). Realistically 75-150 square feet per gallon over extremely rough surfaces. Approximately 400 square feet per gallon is possible over previously primed or painted drywall.

0.72 lb/gal (86 g/l) with water; 1.65 lb/gal (197 g/l) without water.

Cured Film Properties

Tough, flexible film with good washability.
